Orlando is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Orlando is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

MB Palms is awesome, they do an open house to the public one to two times a year, they are not set up to sell to the public (wholesale only) and they are upfront about it. I wish I would have listend to the owners advice 4.5 years ago and planted beccariophoenix alfredii vs Coconut Palms, but, I learned the hard way and came back and now have a number of BA's in the yard from MB. The people are nice, they are real, and they will tell you what they think, I guess that upsets some people, but, they have amazing prices, can't wait for their next open house since they are 5 minutes down the road. Pictured is a Mule Palm and a beccariophoenix alfredii - Both of these are 15 gallon

After my visit to the M&B both in Vero last weekend, I’m inclined to award them a less than stellar review. The owner, or owners rep monitoring the booth was too engaged in “playing phone” instead of assisting potential customers. I saw several interesting palms and was looking forward to more info on there lip stick palm. Not sure if he was conducting business or just a round of Candy Crush. So I went to the booth next door, purchased an orchid. Made my way back into M&B only to be ignored again. They had an interesting variety of material but with “zero” customer support I don’t think M&B will make the vendor list. It’s too bad, they did have a good variety of material. Why make the drive from Orlando, load the truck, pay entry just to ignore the client base?

Met the owner at Gardenfest in Vero Beach today and what a nice experience. We got a Kentiopsis and a lipstick palm. Thanks for the knowledge and recommendations!

Very clean, neat, healthy, well tended nursery. Great selection of off the beaten path plants from all over the world. Best part of the visit was seeing the smiling faces of the folks potting seedlings into larger containers. They obviously enjoyed and were proud of their work. Owners very knowledgeable of their plants and care of them.
